Pengertian dan Jenis Adverbial Phrase

Adverbial Phrase is a group of words that refines the meaning of the verb, adjective, adverb, clause, or sentence as a whole. From this understanding, adverbial phrases consist of several types;

Adverbial Phrase adalah kelompok kata yang memperjelas makna verba, adjektiva, adverbia, klausa, atau kalimat secara keseluruhan. Dari pengertian tersebut, adverbial phrase terdiri dari beberapa jenis;

1. Adverb of time – used to tell when or how long something happened

2. Adverb of place – used to tell where something happened.

3. Adverb of manner – used to tell how something happened.

4. Adverb of frequency – used to tell how much or often something happens.

5. Adverb of degree – used to tell the degree or intensity of something happening.

6. Adverb of time – digunakan untuk memberitahu kapan sesuatu terjadi

7. Adverb of place – digunakan untuk mengatakan di mana dan berapa lama sesuatu terjadi.

8. Adverb of manner – digunakan untuk menceritakan bagaimana sesuatu terjadi.

Pengertian Imperative Sentence dan Contohnya

The imperative mood is used when you make a request, offer advice, issue a demand, or deliver an instruction.

Imperative sentences are sentences that employ the imperative mood. To put it simply, an imperative sentence is one that instructs someone to do something.

When you use voice commands with virtual assistants like Alexa and Google Assistant, you’re employing imperative sentences, so that “someone” doesn’t have to be another person.

Similarly, when you command your cat to sit, stay, leave it, or come, you are using imperative sentences.
